Alex is in a total Papa phase since about a week now. He wants his Papa for everything and will even take a book out of my hand and bring it to his Papa to read instead. I know this should break my heart a little bit, but I secretly enjoy the extra time for myself I am getting. ;-)
Anyone else's kid have that phase? How long did it last?

Re: Papa phase
He's definitely much more of a daddy's boy than he has ever been before in his life, but I think he's starting to sense that something is afoot with this new baby we keep mentioning.

DS is a BIG time daddy's boy. It does kinda pull at the heart strings for me. When DH is not around he does sometimes cry for his daddy, but for the most part is fine & loves his mommy time too.
In our house I have been the one who has been the one to disclipline & make him eat dinner, etc while DH is worried about them not being "buddies" so he doesn't do as much in that area & also tends to not speak up & back me up. I'm trying to get DH to understand how this isn't right. He seems to undestand, but I'm still hoping to see action on his part more. Being 34w pregnant, it doesn't help that I cannot really be down on the floor playing with him these days like DH can.
He is at his happiest when he has us both home, though. DH just had his last day of work for the season last week so will be home all the time now.
