ttc while bf

Have any moms gotten pregnant before while bf or know anyone who has that did not have a period yet. Dd is 8 months next week and I still have not gotten my period. We originally wanted to start ttc next month and still do. Our doctor has already approaved this and said we only have a 15% chance right now...

We just have always wanted our kids close in age. Just crossing my fingers and am hoping to hear someone say they have gotten pregnant before their period returned!

Until then I will love on Dd and enjoy every moment as a family of 3!

    My cousin did not have a postpartum period and she got pregnant with #2, they will be 12.5 months apart.

    I just found out I am pregnant and I am still BF, but my son is 18 mo old.  It took until after he was one before AF returned and then a few more months of wonky cycles before I was actually able to get pregnant.  Everyone is very different, so it's impossible to say when your body will be ready again, but it is possible to get PG while BF for sure!  I had to cut out the night feedings first in order to get AF to return.  Now he only nurses at nap time and before he goes to bed.  I will say that it's very painful to BF him now that I'm PG and I feel sad that I'm actually going to try and wean him now because of that...so if you want to enjoy your current BF relationship with your baby, you might want to wait just a little longer before you worry about getting PG with #2.  It certainly will take away some of the relationship you have with your first baby.

    I got pregnant while still breastfeeding.  I had one period at 18 months, and then got pregnant the next cycle.

    I got my cycle back when DD stretched out her nursing sessions, she was about 10.5 months. I got pregnant right away, so if all goes well they will be 19-20 months apart :D

    I have not yet experienced a supply dip, but I'm only 7 weeks so it may be too soon.

    I got pregnant while BF and these kiddos will
    be less than 12 months apart. I never had a period. I was unable to continue BFing past 5 months or so with DD. She began refusing the breast and my supply tanked. GL!

    I got pregnant while bfing but I had gotten my period back and DS was a year. I breastfed for another 2 months after.
