Keurig-not just for coffee

I saw a lot of posts about warming and defrosting milk and I thought I'd share what we do. I EP so we are always warming bottles from the fridge...with our keurig! We always keep the keurig on so to warm a bottle we stick a Pyrex measuring cup underneath, then hit the button for a small cup and it then we warm the bottle in that 6oz of hot water. I prefer this over microwaving water because we have never overheated a bottle with this method and it's super quick. DH and I joked that we never would have thought the Keurig would be part of our baby gear. Just thought I'd share in case it can help someone.

Glad you prefer that over microwaving because you're not supposed to microwave....

I wouldn't have thought about the keurig.

@HauntedRadio thanks-yes, I meant microwaving water. I've never put his bottle in the microwave.

Good idea. I have been using it for hot water for my mother's milk tea bags.

I have a water boiler for that reason. One button push for boiling water. I have the keurig as well but I don't really use it for hot water.

Hot water for making oatmeal, tea, jello, wipe solution, broth....I use it foe everything!

I'm with you! When I gave up coffee during pregnancy I was determined to find other uses for something that takes up so much counter space!
