S is now 7 months (where has the time gone??? ) and it is getting cold quickly here! I have the silliest question so sorry in advance! How do you keep baby warm while going places? Blankets in or over the infant carrier? A hat? Coat? What are your tips and tricks? I put a blanket in over her tucked in, but I can't help but feel like it's not enough.
MF (low motility) - Began stims for IVF#1 7/21/12
ER 8/2/12 - 14 eggs retrieved, 12 mature and ICSI'd, 6 fertilized. ET 8/7 - 2 embies. Beta#1 8/17: 143! Beta#2 8/20: 590! Beta#3 8/22: 1,162! 1st US 9/4: one beautiful little bean with the best sounding HB I've ever heard!
When she was in the infant seat we had a shower cap style cover that kept her nice and cozy. This year it will be harder, so far we've been putting her coat on quickly as we get her out of the car seat. We will continue to do that for long trips, but for quick in-and-out errands we have a full body fleece that is car seat safe. I may also make her a car seat poncho.

Since they don't go between LO and the seat they are totally safe and they are so warm and cozy! On really cold days we put a blanket on top of LO and then zip the car seat cover over that. We also put hats on.

After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2 After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Last year when LO was still in the infant seat we had a cover that went over the whole thing, and used another blanket inside if needed. We did have a hat for him, but he didn't have a jacket for in and out trips, he did have a fleece snowsuit for when we were actually going to be outside.

For DD#2, we put her in her fleece bear suit on really cold days, or in just a regular fleece jacket on regular days. I also throw a blanket over her legs.
For DS and DD#1, they wear their winter coats to the car, then take them off when we get in. Kind of a pain, but it takes us so long to get in and out of the car anyway, adding an extra minute or 2 isn't that big of a deal! In the past I have had them wear their fleece jackets in the car, then bring their big winter coats to school to have if they went outside.
As it's a safe car seat cover. I use that and always put a hat or hood over her ears. May need to start adding a blanket like PP said on super cold days, as this is a little on the thin side... (then again, she sweats half the time she's in the carrier --- it's so hard to find a good medium!)

@Dstevens429 Just so you know, the bundle me is not safe to use in a car seat because it goes between the child and the car seat. It's great for strollers though!
There is a quick and easy fix to make it safe though! (Video in link)
