Hey ladies! Hope you're all well. I'm fighting a cold here

It's not too bad but when you can't take anything and then can't sleep, it makes for a pretty grumpy lady.
Anyways, in honor of the upcoming holiday, I thought I'd theme this check-in, so...
1) What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish and do you still feel like it this year?
2) Are you making anything special for Thanksgiving? Family recipes? Special dishes? Etc?
3) Any other recipes for the week?

I love Thanksgiving food! My appetite has finally started coming back and the nausea is dying down so yay, perfect timing! I love turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing with gravy all over the place lol. And then dipping the bread in the mix, mmm.
I'm making sweet potato pie and white choco/cranberry scones this year! We also have regular, mashed sweet potatoes, but hubby really likes sweet potato pie so I make that mostly for him.

At that moment he's whipping up a mascarpone mouse with sliced strawberries just for funsies... it sounds pretty delish!
@MJC1116 - where about are you in CA? In in the central valley and the weather has been wonderful lately! It's a good, cool night for french onion soup!

It is finally COLD here in Texas, so I am making taco soup tonight!
Tonight I made nachos. I didn't feel like cooking anything big. Ground turkey, diced onions and peppers cooked together. Tostinos chips. Avacado, and diced cucumber lettuce and tomatoes. With cheese n sour cream. Yum. Dh and I love it. Its 20 degrees here in jersey so stew is tomorrows dinner.

I absolutely love thanksgiving but I am a little nervous about this year! Not only and I nervous about keeping my mouth shut about the pregnancy, and my college football team is playing their rivals, but I am worried my symptoms will make it so I can't really enjoy it!
I sat down with my mom over lunch today to look over recipes and I just was not into it. The whole time I wanted to be like, "Nothing looks good right now!!". But, she doesn't know about the pregnancy so I tried my darndest to be enthusiastic.
The favorite thing we always have is a Butternut Squash soup. yummmm.
