  What should we do if our elfster match hasn't written about their wishlist or tree? I sent a message to them but haven't heard back. Since I'm in Canada, I want to purchase and send sooner than later.

  If you log in from a computer it will tell you that there are two accounts associated with your account and will ask you to merge. Then all should be good in the neighborhood.
