Crying

Does anyone else feel like their baby cries more now that they're a little older? I know typically the crying peaks at 6-8 weeks. My girl is 11 weeks old and used to take great naps. She's become a cat napper and I think she must get overtired and bored of her playmat and mobiles. I'm hoping she'll consolidate her naps sooner than later. I'd rather a couple good naps versus four or five 15-25 minute naps. She sleeps pretty well at night so I can't complain. Just wondering if this is happening to any other Momma's!

Re: Crying

  • I thought I read that crying peaks around 12 weeks. But, I do feel like she fusses more just because she's awake more. She doesn't really know what to do with herself. She can't really "play" yet so she needs a LOT of interaction to keep her occupied.

  • Oh I hope you're right!! I picked up the 6-8 week thing from reading posts on here.
  • I hope so too! I cannot believe our babies are almost 3 months...so sad they're getting so big!!
  • We are in the same boat. LO turned 10 weeks on Friday and has cried non stop for the past two days. Good news- he slept for almost 6 hours last night. My body didn't know what to do.

  • OP, your description is spot on with my almost 8 week old. She sleeps all night (sometimes not going to bed to late), then wakes for an hour in the morning, then another good sleep then is up for the rest of the time and does little cat naps here and there. She then gets overtired and fusses and cries for the longest time till finally she goes back down for the night. It's really frustrating however I will take that if it means she sleeps at night.
