  I have had three and I won't lie, mine were painful. But the good news is it only last less than a minute so it is bearable. Everyone is different though so hopefully yours will not hurt. Be sure to take some ibuprofen beforehand. It helps with the cramping. Good luck.

  DH's SA : Excellent

  Lap and Hysteroscopy June 2012

  DX: PCOS, Stage III Endo, slight Adenomyosis, blocked tube, and probable LPD

  Treatments:  6 Months Lupron Depot injections; 1500 mg metformin; 3 cycles of Clomid + TI = BFN

  3 endometrial biopsies all were "out of phase" 

  September - December, 2013:  Break to lose weight and get healthy

  40 lb weight loss but still not ovulating "in phase"  

  February - March 2014: bcps + follistim + trigger + TI = BFP

   Beta #1 (12dpo): 30; Beta #2 (18dpo): 500; Beta #3 (25dpo): 7,000!!! 

  1st u/s 4/16: One beautiful hb at 144 bmp 

  2nd u/s 4/29: hb at 166 bmp.  Graduated from RE!!

  I had 2 done- one by my RE in his office and one at Basking Ridge for the study- 

  My RE gave me no warning and just did it right after a saline sonogram and it hurt and I wasn't expecting it.. For the one for the study I made sure to take something before going in and knew it was coming so I was able to hold my breathe, grab onto the table and clench my teeth and bare it for the 45 seconds for so it lasts..

  Yup. I did the study. Details are in my siggy. Good luck and I hope you get a great phone call tomorrow! To be honest I was more worried about whether we had a blast or not that I didn't worry about the biopsy at all.

  I've had 2. The first was terrible, but I'm pretty sure the resident who did it didn't know wtf they were doing and it took a long time.
  
  I just had my 2nd one last month and it really wasn't too bad. My RE did it and he is very skilled. It was really quick and not nearly as bad as the 1st.
  
  Definitely take something beforehand. Best of luck. I hope yours goes as well as my 2nd!!

  Me (32) DOR, elevated NK Cells/ 2 copies of MTHFR mutation/ MH (35) azoo/high DFI   (TTC#1 since 2009)

  IVFs#1-4: (4/10-2/12) all BFN

  Surprise Bfp (9/11) - c/p

  DS IUI#1-2 (9/12, 10/12) - BFN

  DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

  DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

  FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

  DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

  FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

  Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

  New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

  FET of 1 day 5 blast (RE recommends transferring 1 due to elevated NK cells) with lovenox, steroids & intralipids in October
