Socks

Yep. Socks. Probably the most boring subject ever, but I'm curious if anyone has found socks that stay on fairly well. We have one kind that stay on really well but they were hand me downs so I don't know where they are from or the brand. T's growing out them though and needs some new ones. A lot of his other ones fall off constantly. Thanks!

Re: Socks

  • Nope.

    I've stopped trying.

  • I've given up, too. I found some at Target that I love. I think they are the Circo. They stay on now that I went up a size (6-12 mo), but now she pulls them all off.
  • Old navy 6-12 mo socks work great for O. And as a bonus they're quite cheap.

  • I've found that buying a size larger works better for DD.  She should be in 6-12 months but the 12-18 or 12-24 months stay on better.

  • I have the exact opposite problem. I can never find any that don't cut into his chunky legs. I always have to fold them down so that the elastic is a little more cushioned and doesn't dig in as much. So if anyone knows where to find socks without a tight top opening, let me know!
  • S hates socks. She gets mad that she can't get to her toes, so we don't bother.

  • Old Navy are the only ones I buy now. I think they are the little bundles line..? They stay on great. The heal placement may move a bit when I remove the shoes but the socks never fall off.

  • Thanks guys! One of the ones listed has to stay on, right?!
  • I'd be lucky if I found a matching pair. She always seems to kick them off everywhere we go. If you find something that works please do share.

  • I'm buying these from Amazon after they were recommended by my SIL:

I've never seen these. I might try a pair for when it's chilly out but not cold enough for shows. Thanks!

  • Baby Gap.

They are amazing. Hiked up to the knees, stay on all day. But they were gifted to us, and I went back to Baby Gap to buy more, and they aren't quite the same. The sizing is different, and I'm not sure if they've changed the style. The ones we have are labeled 3-6 mos, but most of the socks I saw are now labeled 0-6 or 6-12 only. I didn't buy any of the newer ones, so I just have these two gifted pairs that we use all the time.

Ha! I do the same & they were gifted to us but my friend said they were only 99 cents a pair when she got them!
  • I also am a huge BabyGap fan for socks. His Trumpette socks work really well too.
  • The only ones that stay on are the ugly trifolds from Baby Gap that look like they are from 1984. In fact, I think they are from 1984.
But they stay on really, really well.

I have many pairs, but I noticed that are dramatic differences in size between multiple pairs that are labeled the same size. It's annoying, but, they all stay on equally well. It's just annoying trying to match them after washing.
