Stupid question, re: formula

I came across some unopened powder formula that someone gave us which wasn't the kind we used. The expiration date is 11-1-08, so I am SURE I should just throw it out... but does the powder kind really go bad? I feel terrible wasting it, but obviously if it's not good anymore, no one else can use it either.

You could contact a food bank or a shelter near you and see if they would want it, even though it is expired.

My feeling is that the expiration date is there for a reason so I'd abide by it.

Sadly, tritto. Free formula is awesome, but when it comes to little tummies, it's better to be safe than sorry.

It's milk based and that would make me nervous. As hard as it would, I would toss it.
