Stimming Tips

I start stimming next week and wanted to see if you had any tips as far as:
-What did you avoid? (caffeine, exercise, etc)
-What did you add? (extra vitamins, etc)
-Any other lifestyle changes?

Re: Stimming Tips

  • I usually start to cut out caffeine during stims (only because I have a hard time giving it up).  Also according to my clinic no strenuous exercise and no sex.  I think stims is about the time I add my folic acid supplement, but it's prescribed by my doc so I just go by whatever my calendar says.

  • I don't drink caffeine or alcohol and pretty much just stick to water...super boring. I drink hot caffeine free tea at night to relax sometimes though. I don't do any strenuous exercising because you can twist your ovaries because of the weight of them. I do high protein and veggies, low carb because it's supposed to help egg quality. ..who the hell really knows though. Folic acid, prenatal vitamins and CoQ10 as well as acupuncture....ummm I think that's it haha. Goodluck with everything!!
2013- 2 IVF cycles with PGD to prevent genetic disorder from being passed on. Both BFFN :(
    2/2014 pregnant!  EDD 10/17/2014

    All always welcome! :)

  • I would make sure to eat a lot of fiber to keep things moving. Once you do the ER those things get... difficult? I also did a lot of slow walking just to keep active since I used to run before IF meds. Good luck to you!
