Church Dedication Dress

DD is being dedicated at church soon. I have no idea what she should wear, because I have only seen baby boys be dedicated at our church. I grew up in a Methodist church, and for the most part babies were baptized and wore white gowns. We go to a Baptist church now, so I was just wondering if any of you had any clue what is appropriate. We have this dress, and I was thinking about having her wear this:

    Cute! I would add baby tights to the outfit . We did a fancy black and pink dress. What do the boys wear?

    @SJ7180 I have some tights :) Some boys wear khakis and a dress shirt, some are in a fancy baby suit. I just didn't know if this is "fancy" enough. It is hard to gauge what is appropriate because the older people dress to the nines for church, but some of the younger members wear jeans. I guess I really couldn't go wrong!

    Yea. You should be fine. I think the dress you have falls in line with what the boys wear. (Like the khakis) we also put a headband on her to make it "dressier"

    I was thinking more fancy. I've only been a member of the church for 8 months, and really have only seen two baby boys be dedicated during that time. Thanks for all the advice, I'm going shopping this weekend!

    I'm also Baptist. Our baby dedication is in a couple of weeks. Our son will wear khakis and a dressy sweater. The dress you picked would be fine at our church. I think it's cute. I might add a headband and maybe a cute cardigan or bolero type sweater that matches the dress as a topper.
