Ugh, I feel you. Simultaneous nap time is like the parenting holy grail. I thought I was doing so good at getting both down at the same time until this week DS1 started showing signs of dropping his afternoon nap. I swear I will eat yellow snow before I let this kid drop a nap time. Not.gunna.happen.

Can I ask how you plan to prevent it? I am in the same position. I'm like, "Momma needs you to nap or she is going to have a drinking problem" territory. What strategy do you have for making sleeps happen?

Tequila shots & a heavy lunch? No, haha- I'm trying to keep a normal schedule so every day is the same. He wakes up at the same time, eats at the same naps at the same time. He hasn't been napping well this week but I'm still setting him in his crib with the lights out. I figure I can make that into a 1-hour quiet time ritual. He'll play happily in there for a while but then turns into kind of an asshole early in the evening if he doesn't sleep. I've been reading a book on the couch beforehand to kind of wind him down too. I really hope it's just the shorter days & longer "dark" time throwing him off & things go back to normal. We're also at the point of when DH gets home I say "here, have a baby" and then retreat to the kitchen as fast as possible with bottle opener in hand.
Ohhhh I'm right there with ya. My 3 year old is on a serious nap strike. He naps probably 3 days a week. The rest of the time, he bangs on the walls and stomps on the floor because he knows that if he makes a lot of noise, the baby can't sleep.. so I'll let him out of his room. And the baby only takes 30 minute naps as it is.. so.. there's that. Sorry to hijack your post, but yes I feel your pain.
Boo! My LO hasn't been napping well either. I've decided it's because she's just SO excited for Christmas that she can't sleep. I have to blame something right?
Oh no... Naps are very short here unless I'm wearing, holding or laying with LO. I sometimes have to literally cover his face so he can't see for him to knock out, he just doesn't want to miss anything. I usually put him in the sling lay his head on my chest and throw the tail over and he's so tired literally under a minute his eyes are closed and he's out

I know it is wrong, but I am so at the "misery loves company" stage of 2 u 2 right now. I have a friend who likes to "tell me how things are" with 2. Her's are 3 and 10. Really? She never had a toddler and infant at the same time. Leave me be.
Re: If I find whoever it is, I will kill them...
Hope they knock out soon so you can get some rest.
It's awful.
