Slow HB/Growth

I went in for another ultrasound this morning and both yolk sac and fetal pole were there. We also saw a flicker of a heartbeat, but it was very low at 83. RE says that I am measuring 5 days behind and is still not optimistic. I am just wondering if anyone else has been this far behind or seen a fetal heartbeat this low and still had it work out? I know that it is a longshot, but I am hoping and praying for a miracle.

if i'm reading your siggy correctly you had an IUI? so maybe the timing is off? i have no experience with IUIs or measuring behind but I would keep hope until something else happens, somtimes I think REs have to be more pessimistic then optimistic so they don't get anyones hopes up. Praying for your embie to stick!

Yep, we had back-to-back IUIs on Oct 19th and 20th. If you go by my LMP, then I would be 6 weeks and 3 days. RE dates pregnancy based on IUI dates, and she says I should be 6 weeks and 5 days. I am just wondering if maybe I ovulated a little later than she thinks?

I'm sorry you are in this limbo. Hopefully the dates are just off.

At my 6w3d ultrasound the hb was a little low at 100 and unfortunately the baby did stop growing about a week after that.

I agree with PPs - hopefully you Oed a little later than they think. I'm sorry you're having to go through limbo like this. Hang in there, and keep us posted! {{hugs}}

I measured behind in the beginning (maybe still, haven't had an ultrasound since 9 weeks) by a few days. No one was ever concerned about it. They didn't count the HB until much later. Stay hopeful!
