  Warm washcloth to gently clean it and then put a thick lotion on it so it doesn't get as crusty as fast.  I've found my LO tolerates a wipe from a handkerchief better than anything when his nose is raw - I finally bought a few soft cotton ones but first just used an old t-shirt that i cut up in to squares.  Eco friendly!  (but gross at times!)

  I found aqueous cream burned when I put it on my own raw nose, so I'd be careful. I don't know if that's what you're talking about LD? I found plain Vaseline helped.

  Ashley hates having her nose wiped, its a huge ordeal. When my stepsons nose get raw I put on a little Neosporin around their nostrils and just have them blot their nose with cotton balls or puffs with lotion if it starts to get runny, however I am not sure the rule for Neosporin on a one year old.

  when i got to that point, i wouldn't wipe it anymore unless it was really really bad.  I would wait til bath time and do it with the water, didn't hurt as much. also, when she fell asleep, I would put some vaseline on there to moisten it
