So it seems like a lot of A13ers are putting their Christmas trees up over the next week.....and I wanna see them all! So, if you have your tree up, post a picture of it!
We probably will wait until Dec. 1st to put ours up, though, I'm trying to figure out where we will put ours. We have so much baby stuff taking up all the room. lol
OaD August siggy challenge- fav show that's off the air:
No! No! No! No! No! Ours will go up next weekend. We buy a real tree and this year I'm buying all new decorations because I want a new theme. I'm doing burlap and creams
Day after thanksgiving ours goes up. It maybe delayed this year because I'm getting a new decorations. Currently looking on Pintrest for inspiration/ideas.
We're putting it up this weekend. Probably won't decorate until Thanksgiving night. I just want Lucas to get used to it being out before the ornaments go up.
Ugh I'm dreading thinking about it already. I love seeing the tree but the work of putting it up, cleaning up the needles constantly, and keeping my toddler away from it... exhausting!
Okay well since there isn't many pictures to put up yet, how about a bit of a poll?
What kind of tree do you have each year, real or fake?
Growing up, we always had a real tree. But when DH and I moved in together, he already had a small fake tree, and we've just been using that each year, since we lived in a top floor apartment and we didn't want the hassle of bringing it up 4 flights of stairs. Now that we bought a house, I am still going to use the fake tree this year, but next year, I plan on going out and getting a real tree.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing! Gotta move some of this baby stuff to make room for the tree. Anyone else remember when their home seemed so spacious? Before baby gear invaded.
We use fake trees. We always had real growing up and I hated them. I hated the smell and the shedding pine needles that constantly had to be cleaned up. No thank you!
@LokiLahve your office is so empty! Even with the tree! I'd so have a dance party.
We have a fake tree. I wish we could do real, but my cats would eat it and it seems like a lot of work. To be fair it's like 12' high and gorgeous once it's actually up.
Growing up my parents had this god awful fake white tree. Over the years it just turned yellow. They finally chucked it and now have this tree that looks like someone threw up Christmas ornaments on it, you can't even see the tree.
@zever000 that's just the lobby, no one is ever out there. I'm so excited though cause they throw a "breakfast with Santa" the Saturday before Christmas. Employees take their kids in for a pic with Santa, breakfast and crafts and they get stockings! I can't wait!
My toddler cannot keep away from the tree last year at gparents house. It was awful. He'd get all "sappy" and sticky. Ugh. Or he'd put pine needles in his mouth. He's 2 years and 3 months old now, so I think this year the challenge will be keeping ornaments on it!
I miss the real tree smell. But Yankee candles do a decent job.
We do a real tree. Last year DD was 10 months old at Christmas and almost walking on her own, so we got a smallish tree and cut it to fit on top of our dining room table so she couldn't reach it. We put all the presents on the table around it and it was awesome because she couldn't get to them either. This year she's tall enough to grab things off the table and pull out a chair and climb on it, and we try to actually eat at the table, so I'm not sure what we'll do!
Fake tree because I am allergic to pine ours is up since we are going out of town for the week and we want it up when we come back . Emma didn't seem to mind
We spend black Friday putting up our decorations. But we have a 3 ft pre lit faux tree. After the holidays we want to buy a bigger one since we have a kid now, but I dont think I could upkeep a real one!
No tree yet as we do real, plus living in Fl they die quicker, so we getting our tree by mid Dec. Dh wants a 7-8ft tree this year. The airport tree went up though at work...will get a pic of it...its huge
Always had a real tree growing up.. My office was going to throw out an amazing (and expensive) fake tree several years ago so I took it and we've been using it. I'm thinking about doing a real one this year. It would be nice to start a new tradition and I love the smell.. We'll see.
I love seeing the pictures, but I don't put ours up until after Thanksgiving dinner or the next day.
We had a small fake tree, but last year once DS was old enough (2.5) to really get Christmas, we went real. We will do real until the kids outgrow the tradition (if they ever do) of cutting it down with dad. We get a permit and go out into the wilderness to find ours.
Here is last years tree 10 feet tall, it was beautiful.

My decorations will go up this weekend but no tree until we get back from thanksgiving in OH.
Also...I'm pretty sure I'm leaving decorations up a week later than usual since thanksgiving was so lazy about getting here this year.

Real tree or no tree. That's my rule
