Another week down.

how are y'all?

Nothing too interesting to report here. My midday pump is mediocre so I've added in a morning and night to get enough milk for school.

I'm excited because we will travel for a week and hopefully all the nursing will help and I am not bringing my electric pump.

I was going to post this earlier this week, but I didn't so I'll put it here. We are officially done. DD nursed for the last time a little more than a week ago. I am so proud that we made it to just shy of 14 months. Part of me wanted to continue longer, but DD wasn't seeming like she cared one way or the other and drinks her WCM like a champ, so I made the decision to wean now rather than later, when she might object. This was such a different experience than I had with DS, whom I only was able to nurse for four months. And it's bittersweet because she's my last baby. Congrats to all the other mamas still going strong. I'm so so happy we were able to end on a positive note.

We're still plugging along and nothing has really changed since my last post. I'm not loving my once a day pump at work, because it's a bit inconvenient, but since she still breastfeeds so much on the weekends, it's probably in my best interest to keep it going.

I will say that Lily was sick with a stomach bug this week and had little interest in food, but was still very interested in breastfeeding. I was so thankful that we are still BF, because I knew she was still getting some nutrients and hydration.

I had to stopped BFing awhile ago for health reasons (mine not DS), but I just wanted to say I think you're all awesome for still doing it and I totally admire you (and am a little jealous)!

We are still nursing 5x a day. I finally got my supply back up. I ended up taking this to boost my supply and it is making me break out like a hormonal teenager

Hopefully another week or so and I won't need to take it anymore.

Our trip is sunday and I am so thankful to still be nursing, I know its going to be the only thing that is going to keep Colby quiet and content on the plane.

Just in the morning. She was feeling extra clingy this week, so we did nurse in the middle of the day on Tuesday, and I realized, this might be the last time we do this, just snuggle and nurse in the middle of the afternoon.

DH has started saying he thinks she's "getting a little old" and that we should wean completely. I'm having a hard time acknowledging that he's entitled to his opinion about that, and that it's of equal value with mine because we're equal parents to this kid, but I just want to blow him off and decide to wean on my timetable. I mean, they're my boobs, lol.

We are still here too. This week he nursed like crazy. We had moved to only before naps, bed, and in the morning, but we took a step back this week. I'm fine with whatever at this point, after the craziness of the holidays is over, we may be coming up with some sort of weaning plan. Overall, it's going great!

We're still going morning and evening. DD is still totally obsessed with nursing and my boobs. I've been trying to distract her with a Wubanub, because otherwise, she would prefer me to just be topless 24/7, and I'm not sure my office would be cool with that. It's weird enough when she sticks her hand down the front of my shirt in front of other people. Good thing she's so cute.

Still here. Still usually 4-5 times/day. Morning, quiet time (used to be a nap), nap time, sometimes before dinner and bedtime. Still nursing to sleep and I'm so beyond caring about that because it works so well.

I'm beginning to see how nursing could be an excellent tool for psycho toddlerness. Already a few times I've realized that I've nursed her in the afternoon when she's a little cranky and it calms her down. With this information, I'm not sure we'll ever stop.

We are still going…but are working on night weaning. it's been about two weeks and it was going ok until the last two nights! On Thursday DD slept from about 11-4:30 and DS woke up at 1, 2, 4…It was a long night. Then last night DS slept from 12-5 and DD woke up at 1, 2, 3…I am ecstatic at the 4-5 hour stretches though, even if I don't sleep that long at least someone is.

Otherwise we still nurse about 4-5 times a day.
