For those of you who make your own bread, do you use a bread machine or just put it in the oven? I started making a wheat sandwich bread recently because I got tired of overspending for poor quality and preservatives at the store. But the recipe I have is for a bread machine. Is there any way to translate an oven recipe over to the bread machine? I love that I don't have to be home while it's baking.

I've made bread w/out my bread machine and I think it's much better using the bread machine. It probablyseems better to me because the machine doesn't overwork the dough so the bread is never tough. It stays nice and light. The cleanup is also nice and easy so it's totally worth it.

If you want to switch methods with your recipe, I'd suggest finding a similar recipe of the other type and then use those measurements to play with the proportions on the recipe you like. Does that make sense?
