Secret Santa signup ends in 3 hours.

The Elfster sites have been updated with the price limit chosen and who we will be buying the gift for. Stay in your $20 limit and purchase a gift for the LO's

For anyone who hasn't signed up yet, the deadline to do so is November 25. That still gives everyone this upcoming weekend. We will start the exchange after that and you will get the name of your secret Santa! Once you've bought your gifts be sure to send them by December 15. If that date isn't okay, you can suggest another.

Also, to make things easier for everyone.. Can you choose a username that is similar to the one you have on the bump. It would be nice to know who we are buying for. Example- (first name) Katie, (last name) katier2310. Thanks!!

I think you have the groups mixed maybe. I went to the US page and there was a link for a Canadian widget. And under the Canadian link there is a A13 widget. Wanted to make sure it was right before I sign up

ETA: it's right. Just noticed the headings. The Canadian widget code threw me off! Sorry!

Do you know if it works in pairs? Like, do partners buy for each other or does a random person buy for you and you buy for someone completely different (like a true secret santa)?

Hold on a sec. I went to join and noticed the spending limit was set at a hundred! No way I'm signing up. I looked and the popular vote was for 20. Sorry - I'm out. Not really looking to spend 100 on Internet friends (as much as I love A13 - I'm just not doing it). Have fun though - these exchanges are a blast.

@katier2310 - sorry but you seem to have a recipe for disaster brewing. You can't have the sign up date the same as the exchange date. The sign up date should be relatively soon so you get get the people assigned to their secret Santa and they can go out and shop and mail out their gifts. On my other exchanges our sign up date is November 25 - then the organizer has elfster pick the names and everyone knows who to shop for with a mailing (exchange date) set for December 11th.

Im pretty sure the spending limit isn't actually 100. No one would do it if that were the case. It probably just hasn't gotten changed yet, calm down

Relax @prettyaccountant ... It's the weekend and I have two children to entertain.. I made the groups quickly so people could sign up. PP is right, the spending limit isn't set in stone yet, and I can assure you it's not really $100. Also, it doesn't matter what the sign up date is till, I could press the "start exchange" button right now and it would find you a secret Santa. It's only been a day since this has even been a thought, relax. On Monday I will be updating with the outcome of the polls.

Feel free to join... Or not. This is all for fun.

I'm chill - just pointing how how this could cause confusion. Once you hit the button to assign, any new potentional joiners would have to know it is closed.

@prettyaccountant glad your "chill". It's only the first day, and as I said in the post.. Te polls are still going. Tomorrow I'll update everything (the price and gift info.. As well as the signup date). I get it might have been confusing, hopefully tomorrow it won't be!

So because everyone's screen names for TB are different than for Elfster is there a way to know which bumpie we're buying for? I only ask because it'd be difficult to get gift ideas otherwise.

We could ask that they change their names to something similar. Better than just guessing. I'll update all the info tomorrow and will ask everyone who is involved to keep their names the same or close to.

I've never used elfster before or done secret Santa online, I'm learning as I go.

Maybe we could do a thread where everyone writes down their babies name size they wear in a couple brands, any toy they've had their eye on. If they're a fan of a sorts team or a tv show or something? That way if all the ladies post on here we don't have to ask on elfster or something?
