Another pee question (slight pain)

Does anyone else have this?  When I use the restroom to pee my uterus is so uncomfortable.  More crampy than anything, but not cramps (I don't know how else to explain it)... It isn't burning or shooting pain, I just have to try my best to pee slowly (which is hard for me).  When I stand up and am done it goes away.  I am almost 18 weeks along.  Normal or doctor worthy?

Re: Another pee question (slight pain)

  • I'm quite a bit further along than you - but I've just started noticing that I am slightly crampy and then after I pee it goes away.  I'm thinking its the pressure on my bladder from my uterus.

  • It could be a UTI. We are slightly more susceptible to them. Have your OB do a pee test.
  • Thanks, Ladies!

It isn't every time I go to the bathroom, I think just when I hold it in a little too long.  I do a urine test at every OB visit, but will for sure as my doc if it's ok.  It isn't painful or common enough to warrant a phone call or stress, I just wouldn't bring it up to my OB if it is a common or expected thing.

  • I had 2 UTIs and both had that similar crampy symptom. I'd mention it at the next visit.

  • It doesn't hurt to bring it up at your next appt. I noticed that type of feeling when I would hold it too long too. Like when I would wake up in the mornings. Don't be afraid to ask questions and be your own advocate. I wish I had more in my pregnancy.
