PP sex question

This is a "new mom" question, sort of, but I feel more comfortable asking you ladies your opinion on this.

First, I got a tubal ligation with my c-section last month, so contraception isn't a worry for us. Originally I had my 6 week PP appointment scheduled for next week (5w5d PP), but was called by the office to reschedule (my OB is no longer available that day). My new appointment is 13 days later (7w4d PP).

So, what's the thought on sex AFTER 6 weeks PP but BEFORE the 6 week check up? I'm also still spotting at this time (4w5d PP), if that makes a difference.

ETA: I'll call my OB's office tomorrow but didn't think about this question until after they closed for today.

    UI would wait to see the doctor because I wasn't cleared at my 6w but I had a vaginal delivery.  Someone with c-section experience maybe more help.

    My office doesn't clear for c/s at 6 wks anyways. But yeah, you wait until you have clearance.

    I would wait. Especially with all the complications. I would want to make sure everything is healed before introducing bacteria in there.

    Thanks all. Trust me, I don't mind waiting for now. Poor DH isn't thrilled with the postponed appt, especially considering my 5 weeks of bedrest before delivery.

    I'd wait too. The last thing I'd want is an infection and feeling super crappy with a bunch of busy kiddos running around.

    I wasn't cleared or willing at 6w pp after a c section.

    Does he not understand you just had major abdominal surgery? I couldn't imagine having sex at 6w PP with an incision like that...no way...not to mention how much it freaking hurts to begin with.

    YH has two hands, tell him to put them to use, FFS.
    Seriously, I felt bad enough after DS with a vaginal delivery and some tearing. Now way was I ready at 6 weeks. After DD, I healed way better and faster. But with c-section, I'd definitely wait until you get clearance.
