It's that time..... Minivan!!!!

With two kids already and one that will still be in his car seat when baby arrives we are thinking it may be time to get a minivan.
Hubby is mortified since he is a SAHD and it will be his car but I just think it's a must purchase within the next year.
Do you own a minivan? What do you like/dislike about it.

Funny because while we are not getting a new car right now, just yesterday I overhear DH on the phone (with his mom) talking about getting a minivan. I am "no way" on the issue but I suppose with 3 it will happen one day. DH is also a SAHD - but he seems down with it - ha!

I'd say go and look at them. They have come a long way and have some pretty swanky features these days. Plus he can get his dream car one day when the kids are all out of the house

We have no kids and I drive a minivan by choice!!! I love it. We are expecting twins so it becomes ideal too!!! Minivans now have better entertainment systems and some of the middle chairs have a leg rest!!! The sienna is the one with the reclining type captains chair in the middle row!! Just check them out. You'd be surprise with minivans now.

Some of the minivans out there are super kickass. DH refuses to get one though. lol

I am the first of three. Mom and Dad refused to get a minivan. We always had at least one station wagon in the family while we were kids.It worked really well for us.

We drive a Tahoe with 2 kids and we are thinking we may need to move on to a mini can with adding the 3rd kiddo. Mainly because we have a bench seat in the middle and it makes it hard to get the the third row.

We have 3 kids with one on the way. We got a minivan the day after we came home with our second. We went to trade it in a few weeks ago for an SUV since our youngest is turning 5 and the older two are in boosters. Yeah.....we came home with a new minivan.

It honestly just made the most sense as far as room, ease of use, family friendly etc etc etc.

i have the opposite issue... my husband is obsessed with the Honda odyssey. This is our first baby so obviously we will not be getting one, but every time he sees one he talks about how sweet all the features are. He has minivan envy..

My husband was also all about mini vans.. And then we got one. We only had one child when we got it (pregnant with #2 now) but I babysit my niece and another friends daughter a lot so it comes in handy. I was definitely anti minivans but now that I have one it isn't too bad. We have a 2012 dodge caravan

My hubby talked me into trading my pilot for the odyssey last spring. I love it!! We only have one child now and one on the way, but I have found I love the room and features it has. My daughter is 8 and into lots of activities. It's no problem hauling extra kids when needed. Traveling was much easier too on vacation this year. More room for luggage and the DVD player kept "are we there yet" to a minimum.

It's funny DH and I had problems with this at first. I didn't want a minivan so last year we bought a Jeep. Well, after DS arrived I quickly learned it didn't work for our lifestyle. We have a dog, DH couches a tournament softball team and I like to hike. We couldn't fit all of our stuff, the baby paraphernalia and the dog. Then we decided to start trying for number 2 and knew we needed to upgrade. We took the Jeep back and got a 2013 Dodge Caravan. Best vehicle we have ever had and we get great gas mileage.

I have a Malibu and hubby an SUV that we just got last year. Mine is completely paid, and I think that we're going to wait for a van for as long as possible..... I don't want a van.

Ps---once you go van you can't go back!!! Dh tried to talk me out of it this time and I refused a SUV. Soooooo thankful now that we are on number 4!
