Well, to start with, I still had blood in my urine and the nurse did a quick whatever test and found it had more white blood cells (or something, I don't know...medical talk...but hinting that without even sending it in, there is signs of infection, and they will let me know after they send it out). I asked the doctor what this means if this comes back again without an infection, then why do I still have blood in my urine. I am not having any pain. His answer, if there is still blood after I deliver, I will need to be checked for kidney stones. So now I am hoping I have a bladder infection or UTI. Then he was shocked that I am done with cervix checks so I was sent straight in for an u/s and it showed my cervix at 1.8cm. For me, that is pretty normal range and not much change since my last one about 4 weeks ago. But he is concerned and did a FFN test and sending that out. If it comes back positive, I will need to go to the hospital, my guess is for a NST, hopefully not bed rest there, but I didn't want to ask yet and get too worried. He kept asking if I have been to the hospital for monitoring yet and seemed surprised my answer was no. And he asked me twice to make sure I had the steroid shots already (which I did about 4 weeks ago). Then I needed my rhogam shot, to top it off. So in a matter of an hour, I had a vag swab, vag, u/s, peed in a cup (and hand) twice, and a shot in my butt. What a day!
Hopefully my tests come back in normal ranges, except my urine...rather have to pop some pills to clean up this mess. Through all this, I forgot to ask my normal nosy questions, blood pressure and weight, how things looked fluid wise (they also did an abdominal u/s to check baby), and what the fundal height was but I am sure if there was a concern there, he would have said something (in the back of my mind, I worry that something was wrong with something else that gave him more concern and helped make the decisions he did) but I am happy this doc is just so cautious and checking everything. So I am just venting and sharing, however anyone wants to cross-fingers that I just have a uti and everything else comes out normal, I would appreciate that too!
PS. I treated myself to McDonalds, figured I deserved the treat! Wish I got an ice cream cone, WHAT WAS I THINKING forgetting that!
And I don't know which key I hit on my keyboard to make the fonts different!
