Have any of you been to the Minneapolis Hollidazzle Parade? As a kid I lived in SoCali & remember the similar parades at Disneyland. Just a fun childhood memory & was thinking this could be a new tradition for the Jen4033 family.
I just heard on the radio that it will be starting soon & I KNOW DS would just be in awe over it and he would just flip to take a ride on the train down there! Now to just hope there is a weekend we can plan for it where the temps are not sub zero
Curious if any of the other couple MN mommas in here have been? How early do you have to get there to even get a decent spot on the street? Any experiences would be awesome to hear!

Re: MN Mommas - Hollidazzle?
I went a few years ago before the 2 little ones. We took my stepdaughter there. I got passes for the heated tent area which was so nice because it was cold out and they served hot chocolate in the tented area.
It was fun. I'm sure my LO's would love it and we should probably try to take them sometime this year.
It does get crowded on certain days, so I would definitely plan ahead. I have heard there are places like inside Macy's where you can sit inside and watch the parade, but can't remember exactly where. I know the year we went we went to Kieran's for dinner and the servers there had passes to the heated tent that they tried to give to us (we didn't take then since we already had ours).
Maybe post on the Minneapolis board? I'm sure there are plenty of momma's on there that would have more insight
Thanks @Kelly1109. The Hot Seats appear to already be sold out for this year. Dinner downtown beforehand sounds like a good idea.
I think I will XP this to Minneapolis/St Paul board too

I messaged them on FB to see if this really was the last year. This was their response.. vague, but sounded more like they are revamping to do something different in future years. I might be blind... where on the website did you see this was the last year?
That does sound like fun! DS has actually been seeming excited to see Santa this year, but we'll see when we get there. He freaked out last year. Didn't help that DH just handed him over & turned his back while I was talking to the photographer lady. We barely got 1 shot before he freaked out, but his facial expression totally shows he is pre-flip out.My 2 December boys
