Where are you putting your Christmas Tree?

We have a small house and my parents, sister and her boyfriend will be staying with us for the holidays. I'm not sure where to put the tree. The living room seems like th obvious choice - but that is where the kids mostly play especailly since my sis and bf will be staying in the boys room. THe boys will be in our room. Last year we put it in the dining room but not sure if that will work with 8 people eating meals there. Any ideas? What are you doing?

We have one in the livingroom that we don't hang out in. It is a big 8 foot tree and we don't really need to worry about the children in there because we tend to stay towards the back of the house in the playroom and the kitchen areas. We also have a second 6 foot tree that we put in the nook of the playroom behind a baby gate. The children have been good about it in the past, I don't know about DD though. She is a freshie and can move gates and stuff!

In the living room, behind a baby gate, my friend told me to set up the tree in the pack n play as that is what she did for the first year to avoid her little one getting to the tree.

We have a formal living room with a big window in the front of the house. This year I am getting a rotating tree stand too. The room is blocked by a baby gate so we don't have to worry about grabby hands.

On a side note: My stepsons like to put most of the ornaments at the bottom of the tree. I have to fill in the rest. This is from last year.

We usually put it in the living room, but I'm not sure this year. I have talked to h about getting Alexis a play yard and putting the tree in it. I hadn't thought of the dining room. If we take the leaf out of the table we might be able to fit it in the dining room, but then when everyone comes I don't know if there will be enough room.

In the living room....we don't have a play yard either but all of my ornaments are shatterproof and it's a fake tree so I'm not worried. I had a real tree with glass ornaments when DS1 was a baby and if nothing bad happened there, I'm not worried this time. We just won't put presents until Christmas Eve.

We're putting it in the living room, in a corner and hopefully using a baby gate to keep Zoe away. We don't really have anywhere else to put it at the moment...

We're putting up a 4' tree on a table where LO can't reach it. Our cat destroyed our full-size tree last year, so this makes sense.

we plan to put it in the corner in our living room..think of the letter L- putting it right in the middle of the L..he wont be able to access it because of the couch...

I had to rearrange my living room and move a love seat up to my bedroom so the tree would fit nicely. She's doing great with it
