Daycare moms, has your daycare specified that you should leave your LO with a coat or snowsuit, etc. to wear when they go outside? Will daycare be taking them outside? What do you do?
Since we don't spend time outside, I have not looked into buying a coat or anything for DD yet. I'm thinking about getting her a pram and just leaving it there. What do you do?
Kids at our daycare go outside most days unless it's bitterly cold. We leave a one piece fleece thing there for the baby since I transfer him back and forth in only a thin fleece.
I don't think our center takes the infants outside regularly. They haven't mentioned needing a coat etc. there for doing so, and half the time I take his hat/blanket back out to the car with me.
I'm so glad you posted this. We had a really cold/windy day a couple weeks ago and the teachers were telling all the parents about it so they wouldn't have to keep doing it. Something about DCF handbook saying the kids have to be taken outside every day unless it's raining...
So I sent in a bunting suit (I was being dramatic) and some warm boot-type shoes. I always dress him in long-sleeves or short-sleeves and a jacket and pants and socks. So it's just the over layers that I added to his drawer at school.
We got a letter in late September asking to send in (either daily in their bag, or leave there) warm things including coat, hat, gloves, footwear. A gets dropped off in her coat (with a backup fleece or sweatshirt in her bag), hat and boots. She has mittens in her bag as well. They have been going outside most days, unless the weather is too wet or cold or windy.

We have an infant snowsuit that we leave with daycare for cold days. I love that LO goes out everyday. Today is the first real day we have had snow, so I am anticipating pictures of LO all bundled up when i get him this afternoon.
Our daycare tries to go out as much as possible. LO has her coat, hat, gloves at daycare whenever she is there for them to put on her to wear outside. We are required to leave outerwear there for this purpose.
