  • I'd rather work than be a SAHM. I don't cry when I leave my kids in the morning and I don't get sad for Mondays.

  • No amount of shopping should cause stores to be open on thanksgiving just to get customers a good deal.
Agreed. That makes me sad for retail works and their families. My husband is working on Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, but I married him knowing that he can work any day of the year, so I can't complain. :(

Whenever I watched movies as a kid I always secretly rooted for the bad guy. I still do sometimes. I don't know, maybe I have a subconscious thing for bad boys and evil. Besides, Prince Charming was ugly anyways.
    Omgosh! This is me lol

  • I can never think of one until the next day! Dang it!
  • My uo is that I think places should be open on holidays. And the reason for that is A) some people want to work for the extra pay and hours and B) some people don't have family. If I didn't have family, the last thing id want to do is be stuck at home dwelling on the holiday alone when I could be shopping or atleast going out to eat. I use to serve old singles on thanksgiving all the time, they enjoy the company on holidays and can't always get it.
Yes, they are people who want off, my dad always works holidays but that came with the job.
  • My uo is I'm sick of pumpkin spice everything. I saw an advertisement for a pumpkin spice manicure the other day. Enough already.

What exactly is a pumpkin spice manicure?

  • My uo i dont enjoy getting pedicures, i hate people who arent me touching my feet.

Also, i dont mind touching other peoples feet.

  • My DH was asking what I want for my birthday and I suggested a new pair of jeans. I gave him my size and what brand I wanted and specified absolutely no "miss me" jeans. I think all the bling on the back pockets is hidious. It seems like those jeans are for annoying people who want their butts to be stared at.
  • I don't really have one.

But my baby is licking my hand right now, and I'm totally allowing it.

Emma likes to suck on my arm, and I think it's the cutest thing ever!

By the look of things you just get some pumpkin and spice crap smeared on the bottoms of your feet. Honestly, what's the point?

This is becoming more of an UO it seems... I refuse to decorate for Christmas in any way, shape or form before Thanksgiving. Some of the houses in my neighborhood have Christmas lights up! Just wrong! Seems more people are starting earlier and earlier.

We do have our lights up but only because we put them up before it gets too cold here, but I refuse to turn them on before Thanksgiving! Christmas decorations are down from the attic but still in the garage. They're calling my name though! ;)
  • I agree that decorations shouldn't go up until after thanksgiving! And I too dislike Beyoncé, and her full of her self fake baby having -ish.

My UO: while I get people are trying to be helpful and informative, this board has been kind of a buzz kill and sad with the child abuse and Instagram role play stuff for parts of the last week or so. Sort of sucked the fun out of a lot of the fun posts. Last night was the first time is smiled because of the fun posts in awhile.
  • @lemsa I ranted a lot when Lucas was a newborn/infant. Mine was out of jealousy because she got to watch him during the day while I worked. I didn't want to stay home, but I was still jealous. It was also a lot of hormones and feeling like she was questioning everything I do. Even though we have an odd relationship, I can't imagine my kids not having a relationship with her.  Yeah she annoys me, but let's be honest most people annoy me.

  • My UO...after having LO, I'm 99.9% sure she'll be an only child.  I just don't want to go through the newborn bootcamp stage again. Ever.

Normally I agree with you, however I'm angry that Thanksgiving isn't today. Being next week shortens the Christmas season a week. :-)

My DH just pointed this out to me last night! I wish Thanksgiving was today too!

  • I hate red velvet cake. I don't understand why people eat it.

I have to agree! People say it tastes like chocolate cake... I think regular chocolate cake tastes way better!

I used to love working holidays because it was double time and a half and it have me a nice chunk of money.
