Reading the MOTN thread

And totally wanted to brag about how great LO is at night... although that would be wrong of me and would probably make our night A LOT worse.... I can see it now I tell everyone oh well my baby only wakes me up once at night, and is only up for 15 mins to drink a small bottle, and then boom he is up every 30 mins all night...

Anyway, I hope all the LO start sleeping longer at nights... so everyone can get some much needed sleep.

  • Yep totally screwed. LO is a decent sleeper, and the one time I said anything to my friend she was up screaming for 4 hours.

  • Brave of you to post. The past 2 times i said anything about LO and night behavior related to spit up and poop i totally jinxed myself.

DH and i made a solemn pact not to discuss her sleep with anyone. I didn't even want to tell the pedi. When someone asks, we give non-committal shrugs and say, "she sleeps like a Baby". DD1 sttn at af drew weeks old and napped a ton and went to bed easily. We thought we were awesome. The day she turned 3months she stopped sleeping entirely.

  • Amelia was giving us six hours of sleep a night until I told people about it. Now, not so much :/

Well if I complain about dd waking up every 60-90 min last night, does that mean she will miraculously start sleeping through the night?! Because last night was pure effing hell.
I have had those nights... last week all three LO had a cold and none of them slept for more than 2 hours straight and there was never a moment where all three stopped screaming or coughing... I wanted to die.

Sadly, in my experience it only works in one direction. Unless there are witnesses. Cause kids like to make their parents seem insane.
I'll be a witness that your baby doesn't sleep... that way you can look like a lier and get sleep tonight.

    They totally do! Stinking kids....
  • There were a few times that's I was like, Junior totes sleeps through the night. And then Junior found out and was all, lol momma, and started waking up at 2:30am again to be fed. Now we don't talk about it. Seems to be working because he's sleeping, well. We'll call it well so as not to jinx ourselves again.

    lmao

  • looks like I jinxed nap time as well... the twins are fighting sleep like beasts... and baby has already taken his daily nap so by time I get them down he will be up the rest of the day! Yay, for no nap.

Maybe try some commas next time, it was hard for me to understand your brag.
Sorry I was typing with one hand and feeding baby/balancing computer with the other... and hitting as little buttons as possible.
