Rec your high chair

I have seen some of you have them already for LO. What should I be looking for in a high chair? Any recommendations?

  • I'm not using mine yet, but I did one of those chairs that strap to you dining chairs.  We have a high top table as is, and I thought it would be convenient for travel purposes as well.
  • We bought the Fisher Price space saver based on many recs from friends. So far, so good!
  • We have the ingenuity chair top highchair shilo. It really cute and works great.

  • Fisher Price Space Saver as well. They are on sale at BRU right now FYI!

  • If you've got the space for it and plan to have another kid, I really can't recommended the Graco 4 in 1 enough.  It's height adjustable and has a removable tray over the regular tray so it's easy to remove and clean.  The best part is that there's a booster seat tucked under the highchair seat and you can use both of them independent of each other.  Aiden is in the booster and the baby is using the highchair.  It also then converts to a youth seat.

We haven't gotten one yet - but I'm leaning toward the Ikea antilop -

I've read wonderful things about it from a lot of BLW communities - and you can stick the whole chair part in the dishwasher if necessary.

ETA: and with the tray it's $25.  so even if you wind up not liking it, you're not out a whole lot!

  • We have the Chicco version of the table chair and I really like it. The sides are high enough that he can use it now, plus I like that it is very portable and doesn't take up very much space. I also think it will be easy to clean under since it doesn't have legs :)

We have the ingenuity whimsical wonders. It's a 3 in 1 which works out perfectly for us because my LO can use the booster seat on a chair and my niece can use the toddler seat. And it's gender neutral for future kiddos. image

We have this and love it. Cheap, functional and can be taken out to friends/family easily. We got it on sale recently for $20 incl. the tray.

  • We got a prince lionheart. We just strap it to the regular chair. Nice to take it with us when we travel and stuff.
