Grinding gums

So W doesn't have any teeth yet, but he started grinding his gums recently. He usually does it when he is being held, he'll put his chin on our shoulder and rub his gums back and forth on each other. Just wondering if any other LO are doing this. I was going to inquire at our 6 mo visit but it's not until next week.

DD2 hadn't started this yet but I remember DD1 doing that when she was teething .

E is definitely doing this and grabbing her ears. (Mental note: Maybe that's why she's drank less and wanted more solids because it's nicer on her gums)
