Within the last couple weeks, no matter how tightly I swaddle, this little dude of mine finds a way out. Not immediately... But in the MOTN, he'll wake up flailing around. I can't help but wonder 1. How long had he been trying to work himself outta that thing?! 2. Is really hungry or did he just wake himself up (is this what's partly triggering his sleep regression)? and 3. if it's time to wean from the swaddle OR try to another one and hope for better results (we use the SwaddleMe now and it's always worked great up until a couple weeks ago. We've also tried the Halo sleep sack but had issues with it riding up over his face. I think this is a result of squirming, so I'm not sure how to resolve it).
Anyone else experiencing baby ninja syndrome at this point? I'm kinda feeling like I already know what to do (no swaddle), but am hoping for other thoughts/suggestions because that swaddle has been a lifesaver and I clearly am not ready to let go unless absolutely necessary.
If you DID wean from the swaddle, any luck going all natural (in just a sleeper) with baby returning to normal sleep or is the Merlin's magic sleep suit the way to go?
Sorry this post is a little all over the place! I'm really overthinking this, can ya tell?
TIA!
Re: Swaddle ninja
Then she started rolling over at 8 weeks so we had to transition her, unfortunately she could roll over in the sleep suit as well, so that was a bust. We just went straight to sleepers and it was NBD. Good luck!
DS is still up at least 3 times per night at 15 weeks, and we're only able to get him to sleep flat in his bed due to the magic sleepsuit.
Maybe you could see what he does with one arm out and see what happens. When we transitioned DD it was summer so we didn't put her in anything else, but you may want to use a sleepsack.
