So I put these in my shopping cart on amazon. Question is, does it matter which utensils I get to let DD start self feeding? These were only $2.96 and my brain is equating cheap price with low quality utensils. Set me straight.
I have these forks too and they work much better than the plastic ones I got first. She can actually get food on the fork with these.

We bought the same Nuk ones in 2 colors for my DS1 and they've held up great. I'll probably need to get some more soon. We go through the ones we have so fast, especially on the weekends. DS2 looooves using a fork and spoon.
We have these. I got them at the grocery store for less than that. I like that the outter edges are rounded considering the amount of times shes misses her mouth. She's actually getting pretty good at getting the food on the fork by herself.
In my experience toddler type utensils suck. I let both my boys use our real cutlery (the salad fork) under supervision. They can poke much better with them and they do really well with them.
Re: Recommend your LOs eating utensils
These are my favorite; BRU sells them in a fork-knife-spoon pack also.
