Showers

How are you guys handling taking showers at this point?  I can't put Josh in the pack n play or jumparoo as he is too big for them and he climbs EVERYTHING so I don't feel comfortable just letting him play in his room (baby proofed). Literally I have found him standing on the tops of furniture, windowsills, climbing cabinet drawers, etc).  He usually wakes up between 5:30-6 (today was 5) so I really don't want to have to wake up earlier to shower before he is up.

    Could you shower at night? I SAH so I usually shower during naps but occasionally when I know we have stuff to do and I may not get a shower I do it the night before.

    I shower at night when DH is home so he'll keep her occupied. If I'm hone alone with her then I'll either put her in the crib with some toys and books, or I'll wait till she goes to sleep.

    Thanks for the ideas! I like the idea of the snack to keep him occupied, especially if I can contain him in a booster seat or something, or bringing him in the bathroom, though I am a bit afraid of him climbing up on the toilet and falling off.  Ugh!

    I try to shower at night while DH is home to hang out with him.

    If I need to shower and DH isn't around, DS comes in the shower with me. He plays with his toys while I shower. It works well enough.

    During the week I have to get up at 5 to shower, on weekends I either make sure my H is around or if he's not I wait until nap time.

    I try and schedule it around when hubby is home to watch her for me. If I don't get the opportunity and I notice that's hair is getting greasy I just get toys and let her rampage the bathroom. It's not pretty but it works sometimes There's a lot of peek a boo going on and "NO MAAM WE DO NOT THROW OUR BUNNY IN MOMMYS SHOWER"

    DS either reads outside the shower or he sticks his hands in and plays with the water. I have no idea what I'll do with 2, lol.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.  I made dh get up 20 min early this morning so I could get in the shower while he watched Josh.  Not sure he was too happy, but my co-workers and clients will be :-)

    I try to shower when DH is home and awake, but sometimes I am on my own to shower with 2 kids awake. I let then play, but my 3yr old keeps me posted on what is going on. A also hangs in the bathroom with me by choice most of the time. Before I get in I survey the rooms she has access to and make sure they are babyproofed.
