I used them for both my kids before I got to the point where I needed maternity pants. I hate maternity pants, so I try to stay in regular pants as long as possible. So yes, I am a big fan of belly bands. I definitely think they are worth it, especially if you plan to have more kids after this one.

@Elbug- That's what I did during my last pregnancy too. The hair tie button loop works great. It also works after birth when you want your regular jeans back.

this has yet to happen for me....
I just started to fit back into mine w/o using any extension tricks about 3 months ago. I'm avoiding maternity clothes as long as possible this time.
They weren't great for me cause I have a booty. If you have a flat butt they'll be ok. With a booty they tend to roll up and are super annoying. You can try using a hair rubber band to link your button to button hole.
This. I didn't like my belly band for the rolling reason. I got mine at target. I will be going straight to maternity pants when I need them.
I've already started using belly bands with my work pants this week. I can't button any of them without being ridiculously uncomfortable all day. I LOVE them! I wasn't looking forward to replacing that many work pieces this early, and I knew I would have to buy a LOT of pants for that many months of use.
I did take the advice of someone who posted on another board to put the band on first, then put my pants on over the bottom half of the band, and fold the top over the pants, so it's folded in half with my pants in the middle. That seems to work the best for me at this point.

Great tip!! I hate the Bella band because of the rolling and constant tugging to keep it in place. Definitely going to try this!
I'm about to give in and get a band. I'm an elementary teacher and I have worried all day long about the hair tie coming undone or me moving to much and it breaking. Do y'all know if walmart sells any? I live an hour and thirty minutes away from any maternity store or target.
Thanks ladies! I'm going give this a shot. I work in the treasury dept if a bank and I have to look super professional everyday. My dress pants won't button anymore and dress pants are not cheap!
I hated the belly band. for me the button would show through for my jeans and it was obvious they weren't buttoned. I also don't really like things on my tummy so I go to the under the belly maternity pants. These look great and are comfortable.
