Hi everyone (NT update)

I feel bad that I haven't posted much lately but I've been lurking here and there, and I'm so sorry for the down mood of the board lately.. 

Anyway, here's my update. Went for my NT last thursday and didn't have the best day.. Baby B is ok, but Baby A had a fold measurement of 3.56mm and what looked like pockets of fluid in the brain. So, we opted to get the CVS done right then after talking to the super sweet genetics counselor. The CVS was a pretty horrible experience for me- especially when the ultrasound monitor shut off from inactivity when they had the needle in to get the sample from Baby B!!! But, I powered through it even though I thought I was gong to pass out. The initial results were negative for T13,T18, and T21 for both babies- and now DW and I are just sitting here waiting for the full results to come back. Blargh.

    I am so sorry to hear that you have had to go through this stress and worry. I sincerely hope that you get complete results back ASAP and that you get reassurance that both babies are healthy and in tip-top shape. I can't imagine the worry you must have been going through since Thursday, and I hope you and your wife are given good news very soon. I will be thinking of you. Please keep us updated. Hugs!

    5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN

    Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5.     Oh, I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had a CVS with my first pregnancy and it was a rather horrible and unpleasant procedure, I know. We found our through the FISH results that our LO had full T18 and the 48 hours waiting for those results were some of the longest of my life. I know the remaining days it is going to take to get the full report are going to be miserable and I'm just so sorry for that.

    I'm hoping Baby A's higher fluid amount is just one if those things that resolves on its own. Did they tell you if there were any other markers? Besides our LO's NT fold (which was around 4.5, I believe), there were other markers, such as questionable presence of nasal bone and delayed growth. ETA: Just reread the original post and saw that you mentioned the pockets of fluid.

    If the outcome isn't good and you would like to talk to someone who has been through this, I am happy to talk or PM any time. I felt so lonely when I went through it because I didn't know anyone else who had experienced something similiar. I would like to offer any support and comfort that I can.

    You and your wife and little A & B are all in my thoughts and I am hoping for a great outcome.

    I have no experience with any of this, but just wanted to offer support. I will be thinking of you and your family. I hope all turns out as well as possible. I'm sorry you are going through this.

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

    We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
