Success after IF

Question for those ladies who paid OOP for IVF drugs

Can anyone give me a ballpark price for PIO, Lupron and Crinone??

TIA!

Re: Question for those ladies who paid OOP for IVF drugs

  • Mine was so long ago that I can't really remember but I do  know that Crinone is expensive.  Will you be using that and PIO?  I used it during some cycles but not my IVF cycle.  My doctor was able to give me some sample packs.  Later, during different cycles I switched to prometrium which was less expensive and I liked better.

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

I used Crinone for my first IVF cycle and remember it being expensive as well. I used both that and PIO first time around.

I am only asking because I am doing my benefits for 2014 and am switching to a high deductible plan. Sooo I will pay OOP for my drugs until I hit my deductible, so I was looking for an estimate.

Of course this is all under the assumption we do our FET in 2014. Have to get a few ducks in a row first!

I hated crinone. My RE switched me from PIO to Crinone only after my first ultra sound. I think he thought he was doing me a favor - next time I may stay on the PIO longer. It didn't bother me and is way more wallet friendly!
