  I voted yes but I also do not use them for their intended purpose. I like to make silly ones.

  ETA: Clarify...I would hashtag a silly one on someones picture but a picture of the kid wearing a striped shirt I wouldn't #stripes because I think that would be strange. If the poster wanted a generic hashtag on it they would have put it on themselves

  I do it to be funny. And the picture will only show up under a hashtag search if the original poster puts a hashtag on it. Someone else hashtagging a picture doesn't put it into the search.

  I didn't know that either. I only do hashtag on other people's comments if they already used them.
