I'm jw because I heard bad things about coats and car seats. What do you plan on doing? Should I just layer her in shirts and sweatshirts? or bring a thick blanket for the car, and then put her coat on after she gets out of the car seat? Thing is she's still in her carrier and I'm not sure how that will work. I'm just a little confused.

Right now, I use a BundleMe. Yes, I know there's controversy with that (it is considered an after-market product and can interfere with with safety of the seat) - but in my opinion, it's safer than wearing a bulky coat, and the back part is really not much thicker than a fleece jacket anyway.
When B moves to a regular car seat, which will be very soon, I plan on putting his coat on backwards when we go to the car, and just pulling it off once I put him into his seat.
