STM: Breast pump choices

So I called my insurance inquiring about breast pump coverage and they offer a double electric breast pump by Ameda. Just curious if that is a good brand? And if anyone can vouch for it? I have heard of it but I have heard more about the Medela ones. Thanks for everyone's input!!

I have the purely yours by ameda (assuming that's teh same one) and it's been a great pump for me.

From prior discussions here/on other boards, it seems those two are pretty much the "can't go wrong" brands.

I used an Ameda purely yours last time around, and loved it. It lasted through a whole year of pumping and had really good output with it.

I also have the Ameda double purely yours electric and LOVE it...i used it for 13 months with LO #1 and just got new parts for round 2. I never had any problems, it was easy to pack up and take with me to work and it always worked great and super each to put together!

Ameda is a great pump. I used it with both of my previous kids and even passed it on to SIL and it worked great for her too. So 3 kids. My insurance covers a new one so I'm going to go ahead and get a new one this time and let SIL hold on to my old one. But yes, Ameda and Medela are pretty much the top two brands. Either one is great.
