Babysitter/Daycare Holiday Gifts

What is everyone getting their daycare provider, babysitter or nanny for a holiday gift?  We are going to give her cash like we did last year but I also wanted to do a little gift with it.  Last year DD had only been going to the nanny for a month so we just gave cash and I was not too worried but it would be nice to give her something as well.

    We plan to give our in-home provider a cash bonus, but we also want to give a smaller, personal gift.  Our provider is really into Disney and we're going to Disneyland after Thanksgiving, so I'm going to try to find something there.

    I think a gift card is great. You could put it into a change purse or something to make it personal.

    I will probably bake something for them. They are great but Middle aged and I have no clue what I could get them. Since they are in home I would feel weird giving extra cash...I don't know. I wish I knew something more personal.

    cash/gift card is always nice!

    like Baker said put it in a cute change purse or small cute wallet thing.

    When I worked at a daycare facility, almost all of the parents gave us gift cards (Starbucks was always popular). It was always very appreciated!

    My nanny is my sister so she is getting a sweater. Lame I know, but that's what she put on her wish list. I'll probably throw in some extra cash or a Starbucks gc.

    After reading this again, I realized it is probably very far from helpful.

    Last year I gave them each a small gift card to Target and baked them something. This year I want to do something else since DS will be moving to the toddler room next month! I am going to miss his teachers. They are awesome!

    Stupid question but our sitters are under the table...does that matter as to what we get them?

    I don't think so - why would it?  Our daycare is an in-home (licensed) and I am going to try to get close to one weeks' pay as a holiday bonus.  I think I'll probably do 2/3 of that in cash.
