This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related - I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting healthy is welcome here!

    What did you do last week? lots of walking. I bought a jogging stroller and it is much easier to much than a normal stroller. I just haven't gone jogging yet. Oh yea, and I ate white chocolate covered oreos
    What do you have planned for this week? I want to go out for walks but it is a bit chilly by the time I go so we will see. I bought more fruits at the Farmer's Market.
    What is your goal? Still holding on to the pesky 5-6 pounds. We changed our Tough Mudder date to March so we have more time to get in shape.
    QOTW:  What's your favorite kind of way to be active? Right now, just going out for walks. Before I would like going to the gym and doing Body Pump classes.

  • Ugh, I'm feeling super discouraged this week. I'm up 2lbs randomly. I just want to wake up tomorrow and be skinny again. Trying to find the time and energy to work out with 3 sometimes is just flat out impossible. I truly enjoy working out, and I feel better when I am doing it regularly. So, missing days at a time is affecting me :(

    Last week- my knee/shin were bothering me, so I took it easy. Had my 10k Sunday. It was awful. It rained and by mile 4 my leg was killing me, but I ran the whole thing. So, I finished in serious pain, but feeling pretty bad ass.

    This week- I want to remove my entire right leg. I noticed a huge difference when I was doing yoga regularly. So, I've started doing that again. Sticking tough on the diet since I can't go as hard as I'd like on the exercise.

    Goal- Not run for a few weeks, which makes me want to cry, and I have. I need to give my knee a rest/ let my shin heal before I get into it again. I really want to do that half marathon in March, and the only way that's feasible is if I start training pain free.

    QOTW- I love love outdoor runs. I love the change of scenery and fresh air, clearing my head. I also love a good Insanity style beating when I'm feeling froggy.
  • Last week, 6 days of turbofire! Woohoo! And I lost 3 pounds! I love this exercise program.

    This week I'm going to keep at it with 6 more workouts!

    My goal now is to be comfortably in my "skinny jeans" by Christmas. I buttoned them last night. But there's a muffin top haha

    Favorite activity is like I stated above... Turbofire!!! It's just so much fun and I love the results. Plus I love that I can do it at home. Minimal time away from MJ and I don't have to leave the house when it is snowing!
  • Last week: I kept up with my fitness. 3 pure barre videos. Only ran 9 miles instead of 12 though. Diet was going well until the weekend. Kinda fell off the wagon. I refused to get on the scale and have focused on the new toning that's happening all over. My abs are slowly returning :) I appreciated all the positive encouragement in last weeks check-in. Big PPHs to you guys!

    This week: do the same. Focus on feeling good and not a number. Try to watch calories better.

    Goal: my goal WAS 130 lbs by Christmas, but now I just want to maintain my fitness level through the holidays. But honestly if I hit 135 lbs I wouldn't be mad about it ;)

    QOTW: I have always relyed on running. It clears my mind, pumps my mood, boosts my immune system, and burns the most calories. Runner for LYFE!!

  • @NicoleReed0324, I'm gonna have to look into this turbofire program. I always prefer at home videos too. Is it a diet plan too or just exercise?

  • This week was good on the fitness front.  I we been doing the ab and squat challenge plus I got some sleep finally and took TWO spin classes.  Diet has been alright too but I learned that my thyroid levels were completely off so loosing weight would have been nearly impossible so I had an excuse for the past couple on months ;).  I'm on the right meds now so I should see an increase in energy and my metabolism soon!

    QOTW:  I love taking spin classes at the gym.  I used to take 4 a week.  Now I'm lucky if I get there once a week, but I have spin shoes and everything.  When there isn't a class I make up my own course and ride.

    Last week I jogged with lo 3x and walked 5 days. As usual: ate like crap

    This week: continue with the walking and jogging, try to up each 1 more day/week... Also starting strength exercises this week.

    10 more pounds!

    Fav way to be active is to swim or hike :)

  • Last week: did the ab and squat challenge but not much else. I had a cold so I have myself a pass. I was a decent eater except for the party I threw Thursday night- where I made baked Brie and drank waaaaay too much wine. Mental health?

    Next week: back to running- went last night and this afternoon. More veggies. Ab and squats. Less alcohol.

    Goal: normal pants by Xmas

    Fav: running! I honestly just went this afternoon after my bad nursing ymca experience to get out my anger. It is so good for my competitive spirit and clearing my head. @jo27key we may be twins. I also really like power walking my lunch breaks on days I work, but I'm pumping now so I don't have extra time to take a break. Hopefully by spring I'll be pumping only once or twice and can walk again!

  • @jo27key there is a diet plan but I very loosely follow it. I just try to not eat horribly. I don't want to cut calories because I'm still nursing. So I just eat when I'm hungry and follow the exercise plan. It's demanding being 6 days a week but I look forward to it! It's a really fun part of my day.

  • last week I ran and started using the kettlebell, I really like it.

    this week I want to keep up with more weights. I am also going to stop drinking wine and beer for a bit too see if I can shed some more weight.

    my gial is pp weight by christmas. I also have a hair modeling thing soon that I would like to be a little more toned for.

    my fav excercise is running or basketball. I played ball in university and miss it a lot.

  • What did you do last week? Played a couple games of soccer.  Went on one nice long run.  We also started a weight loss competition at work, so I am being shamed in to watching what I eat. 
    What do you have planned for this week? More soccer, more running and more watching what I eat.  I lost 2 pounds last week, so apparently, my diet really did need a make over. 
    What is your goal? More comfortable in my clothes, and to maintain during the gluttony that is the holiday season. 
    QOTW:  What's your favorite kind of way to be active? Team sports for sure.  It is social and active at the same time!
