I have a question. For those who have had multiple m/c's. I had my last m/c in September. My cycles have been off. 24 days, 26 days, and 16 days!. Is this normal? My cycles are normally 27-28 days. I am so confused and upset. I am stressed from my last medicated cycle, which was the 26 day long cycle. Any insight please. Oh, I also had a heavy metals panel to see if there maybe problems there that maybe causing m/c's. I have high levels of Lead and Tin.

Me-39, HSG 2/13- clear. DS-IUI #1-3/13,300iu Menopur 12 days,3 days Cetrotide, Ovidrel Trigger-BFN. IUI #2 06/13, BFP EDD: 02/22/14 m/c (cp), IUI #3- BFP EDD: 5/17/14 m/c 09/13. Blood work/RPL panel- nk cell/MTHFR mutation- negative. Blood work all good. Unexplained reason for m/c. IUI #4 BFP m/c (cp) 10/13. IUI #5- 12/13 Cancelled. No response. (1)follicle. IUI #5.1- 2/14.     I did have irregular periods after mc's but they were long. It's all so frustrating. I hope you get some answers.

    I am so sorry for your loss.
    I've had a few losses but my periods are irregular anyway so I can't really answer your question. I am curious about what made your doctor do the heavy metals panel. Is there a reason you might be exposed to more heavy metal than most people? We live in an old house w lead paint so I have always worried about that.

    @whoberry besides going to an RE, after my last m/c my acupuncturist recommended that I see a naturopathic doctor. I did not want to chance loosing another baby. The naturopathic dr. ran all the test; rpl, nk cell everything. I was all clear, negative for all gene mutations, normal limits on everything else. I was just about to do another cycle when she suggested after that one, if it does not result in a pregnancy, we will run a heavy metals test. I think she does this to rule out everything possible. I don't think it was anything in particular. That's when I found out that I have high levels of Lead and Tin. I will find out today what this all means in laymen's terms. I will keep you posted.

    I've had four losses, and my periods were wonky afterwards. Mostly that the flow itself was crazy heavy and would last for up to two weeks. I think it's totally normal to have them be unpredictable for a couple of cycles (or more). Sorry you are going through this; it is so hard.

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Thanks ladies. I feel a little better.

    @whoberry- naturopathic doctor went over results with me. The high levels of Lead is common. My results are on the low end of high, she says that is ok. It's still safe. Now the Tin on the other hand, she has never heard of anyone with high Levels of Tin- great....They want me to make sure if I have eaten or have drunk out of any cans. The only thing I did drink k was the Dole not from concentrate pineapple juice. I was on a pineapple and pineapple juice kick for like 4 months. I am vegan, so I eat lots of vegetables and Tin is also found in the soil. I eat a lot of vegetables from farmers market. It's suppose to be organically grown vegetables. Things that make you go hummmmm. I will be starting a chelation-heavy metals detox twice a week for 2 weeks.
