DH and I work 1030-7p. DD DC is open 630-730p and we drop her off at about 945 to 10a so she has breakfast at home every morning and eats lunch at DC. However due to state regulations children who stay after 6p parents must supply dinner. That's no issue, the issue is again due to state regulations they are not allowed to heat food for your child. I get why they can't, but what can I send? It has to be a fruit, veggie, and a protein/meat. The fruit and veggie are easy she can eat that cold. But I don't want her eating cold beans, or chicken, etc. I mean she eats her real dinner when we get home anyway, I wish I could just send her a snack to hold her over but of course I follow the rules. Any good ideas?

Re: Packing dinner for DC
She will be 2yo next month. They are a peanut butter FREE center:(
How about hummus with vegetables or pita bread? Nut free and high protein.
