UPDATE!!!

I GOT IT!!! YAY!

Ok, enough with the !!!s. After almost 3 weeks of waiting and 2 follow up emails/calls, I was told I got the position! Their insurance doesn't seem bad and the pay is 6,300 more than I am making now, but the vacation hours aren't great. I'll definitely take it though. It's also closer to home. Thanks so much for all the good vibes!

So I have been unhappy at my job for awhile now. I love most of the people there and I like what I do, especially when I'm busy. But this year has been really slow and I've had to do a LOT of busy work. Lately, my boss has been really irritating me. She will come up and ask why I am doing something a certain way. I tell her I've been doing it this way since I started there (3 years ago, and she's the one that taught me). And she will then say that I am doing it completely wrong. Last week she asked me to open a spreadsheet up. I had it as a shortcut on my desktop and she told me I should be opening excel and then going to the specific folder and opening it that way. It literally does not make one bit of difference and is easier/quicker to do it my way!

So Monday night I had had enough and applied for a couple jobs online. I got a call back from one of them yesterday; they want me to come interview next Wednesday. It would be a perfect opportunity for me. The work seems similar to what I'm doing now but would be a "staff accountant" position instead of an "accounting administrative assistant". I wouldn't have to answer the phone lines anymore (which I'm really getting tired of; I was a receptionist during college) and it would be a few minutes closer to my house! And the best part...at minimum it would be a $6,000/year raise!! I'm qualified and have 3 years of experience now, so I'm really thinking this could be an awesome opportunity for me.

So any good vibes from anyone would be GREATLY appreciated!
