This is such a stupid question, but I'll ask ya'll anyway :) Looking at FF I just realized that assuming next cycle is a bust (and that's highly likely with my break plans), the next cycle's (January) 2ww comes to an end right at my Birthday. My 30th Birthday (wah). So here's my intelligent question, would you rather do a medicated cycle and have higher hopes and test at Birthday time, or do non-medicated with lower hopes? I can't decide which is worse?! A bfn with high hopes on my Birthday, or a bfn with low hopes on my Birthday? The reason I'm even thinking about it is if I go with low hopes, that would mean a 2 cycle break. So maybe I power through 1 more cycle, and then plan on having the Birthday cycle be my break?

Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
 3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Idk. I would break now and do the bday thing. I wouldn't want to do treatments during the holidays (they are always stressful and BUSY for us)

    But if your 30th bday is harder on you than holidays that switch it around and break during your bday.

    There's my thoughts :)

    No longer benched per New RE/OB!
    Jan. 15 2014 - BFP. HCG 3900 - Ectopic :( 
    Jan. 16 2014 Left tube removed and D&C
    March 2, 2014 First AF

    That's a good point. Hmm maybe a 2 month break wouldn't be that bad. I feel like we're just heading towards IVF anyway...

    I'm pretty sure I'm doing a holiday break. If it doesn't work this month I told DH we are breaking from any medication during the holidays. I figure they are stressful enough and we always have a million things to do so let's not add one more thing on. I say break and wait for your dirty thirty!

    Yeah, I think a vote holiday break too. I wasn't sold on that until I read through the responses.  I definitely think low expectations on the birthday is the way to go, and with the holidays, I agree that a medicated cycle might just add to the chaos.

    We are probably doing a holiday break mostly due to the fact that monitoring will come when we are out of town. I agree with PP's that they are always hectic anyway.
