  Why do you have to take your pee? Can't you just pee when you get there? If its not a 24 hr collection or anything....

  They prefer the first pee of the day so I have to take a cup home after every visit for the next time.

  they give me cups to pee in and bring from home, but it's more so they don't have to waste the time of waiting for me to pee in the bathroom when i'm at the office.  nobody has ever told me i needed FMU.  that's the first i've heard of that request!  i just pee before i leave, so mine is never more than 20 minutes old.
  
  when i bring my little sample in, i'm always paranoid it's going to spill over in my purse (because yup, i am the grody patient who puts her pee cup directly into her purse...)

  I don't do urine samples every appointment.  Just the first one and then if they suspect a UTI.

  First OP, I am so happy that this is why you have a cup of pee in your drawer.  I was beginning to wonder if it was some "I have to go now!  And I don't have access to the bathroom!  I'll just sneak away, go in this cup, and dispose if it later." situation.  Yes, this is the first thing I thought of.

  
  

  They always ask me at my appointments if I have to pee, and if I do, they want a sample.  I've never been asked to bring it in.

  When I get called back thy weigh me and then I have to go to the bathroom and pee. Every visit. Then I go back and wait for the doctor / nurse practitioner.

  I always take with me, I find it hard to wee into the tubes/ pots so do it at home in a wide topped jug and pour in, due to the repeat samples needed I have a special wee jug!!

  I do i put it in the bottom half of my lunch bag and put it in the medication fridge at my job but only i go in there.

  At my OB I pee right on the stick when I get there. The nurse explained that they used to have patient use a cup, then the nurse would dunk the test stick, they decided to cut out the middle man. I like their style.
