poop question

 Yesterday Ava's poop was really red, not runny or anything - very solid but very....red. It was so strange, both my H and I were shocked by it. Right way we ran through possible scenarios such as did she eat any berries or anything really red. She spent most of the day with the babysitter while we were working too. Right as he was about to text a photo of it to his dad (a Dr), I remembered that we had some pouches of strawberry applesauce and maybe the sitter gave her one. So we figured that must have been it.

However I later realized we had no strawberry applesauce at all, it had been just regular applesauce in the pantry, so she never did get any red food....

Today she had a poop but very tiny and only like 3 small round pellet type poop - also the same bright red. So now we are worried. The red of the poop actually would rub off on her diaper leaving a bloody looking smear. We called her Dr right away and they are getting her in tomorrow morning and they told us to bring a sample of it with us. That was all she pooped today too! 

Has this happened to anyone else's LO? I am trying not to stress about it but I'm really worried. She seems to be acting normal although her appetite has decreased the last several days and she's been overly tired lately too - even when she has naps.

    I have looked at a lot of poop since LO had MSPI. Carrots and cantaloupe seem to come out as reddish chunks but I have never seen it all be red.  I hope that the doctor has some answers for you!

    Is she on an antibiotic?  I don't know that it would make it bright red, but B has had some that's reddish because of antibiotics.
