Gift idea?

I have a friend - not super close - who is dealing with IF right now. Her husband had chemo in his mid-twenties and no longer has any sperm. They've just found this out and are in that initial phase of being scared, worried, overwhelmed, etc. I plan to send her a little something just to say I'm thinking of her and am here for her. I thought I'd write a nice card but do you all have any ideas of what small gift to give? I don't want anything too expensive. What would've made you smile or stress less or just feel like someone cared? TIA
MF (low motility) - Began stims for IVF#1 7/21/12
ER 8/2/12 - 14 eggs retrieved, 12 mature and ICSI'd, 6 fertilized. ET 8/7 - 2 embies. Beta#1 8/17: 143! Beta#2 8/20: 590! Beta#3 8/22: 1,162! 1st US 9/4: one beautiful little bean with the best sounding HB I've ever heard!

    A Starbucks GC or maybe a GC to a fun accessory store. When I was going through treatments, I dug a hole in my credit card from Francesca's and Anthropologies's accessories. It was nice since my clothes were no longer fitting quite right.

    ETA: I saw that you asked for an actual gift idea. Accessories or a home gift (candle or something) always cheered me up.

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!

    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    Socks. I loved fun socks when I was going to ultrasounds every other day.
    Me: 30, Dx Unexplained/hypothalamic amenorrhea
    DH: 31, normal!
    April/May 2011: Menopur + Ovidrel +TI = BFN
    Oct 2011: Menopur + Hcg +IUI = BFP!
    Beta #1 (13dpiui)= 129.7, Beta #2 (15 dpiui)= 305

    I agree with @kzawisl about the socks.  I did this for a girlfriend of mine going through IVF - she loved it!  You can put a little encouraging note and explain the socks.  Plus, it's not too expensive!

    I knew you all would have awesome ideas!! Thanks!! I saw this thing on Pinterest about pairing some nice socks with nail polish and putting a tag that says "wishing you cute and cozy toes all winter" but I could say something like "wishing you cute and cozy toes through your treatment" or something like that. She seems like a cozy socks and coffee girl. Woohoo for great ideas SAIF!!

    After my second m/c a bunch of ladies from IF got me a penguin necklace. (I don't know if they still are, but back then penguins were our board mascot.) I wore it every day during my subsequent IVF cycle, during my pregnancy with DS, and even after he was born. When we started to TTC again I put it back on and am still wearing it for K&A. To me it is a symbol of protection, hope, and luck.

    I also still have my lucky socks from our exchange and wore them for all my big IF days. :)

    After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
