"Teacher" gifts

I know it's early but thought I'd ask the Teachers and BTDT Moms for holiday gift ideas for the ladies at LO's daycare. I don't want to be the one that gives them a dud gift. Of course I have some ideas but wanted to hear if any teachers out there had good advice on gifts to avoid.

    Candles, Starbucks cards, lotion (ALWAYS washing hands) or restaraunt gift cards are always appreciated

    One of my favourite gifts to recieve is a Tim hortons gift card. I like them because I can use them and because the older kids I teach know I drink a lot of coffee and tea and usually suggest the gift themselves.

    That's not too useful because obviously your LO can't help you.

    I like book store gift cards because i buy books for the classroom. I also like food/ fruit baskets. Again, it's something I will use/ consume.

    I second the gift cards. They let us give ourselves a little treat without feeling too guilty. I also personally enjoy scented candles or hand lotion.

    I'm a teacher- gift cards are the best. Teachers will appreciate almost anything, but a nice thoughtful note and a gift card (even a small amount) won't be a dud.

    I agree with scubagirl- I got a really thoughtful letter last year and the mom framed it. I keep it on my piano. I also love giftcards.

    Thanks, ladies!!! Sounds like I'll get gift cards along with a hand lotion. I'll be crossing those gifts off my list by the end of the week!

    As a former DC provider, gift cards hands down. Careful with Starbucks if you don't know if they like coffee though.
    Also, a thoughtful note thanking them for something specific goes a loooong way.

    I always loved receiving gift cards and a nice handwritten card of thanks. I loved any gift but gift cards were definitely a favorite.

    Gift card for sure. Though one year a family had a custom hand towel embroidered with our last names... Cute as could be!!!

    Candles and lotions are great gifts, except if you have smell sensitivities. I usually end up regifting them because I can't use them. Gift cards are the best.
