  I'm 38 weeks on Thursday and I've been told by friends, family, and strangers that I don't look nearly as far along as I am. Every body is different!

  We have a HBDB (hump day bump day) post on Feb. 14 board and there are varying sizes.  Since you are due that month, you could check it out and see how much of a difference there can be.  It really does put into perspective how different many carry.

  You may have been told you were small because baby showers are often held later in the pregnancy. I'm not having my first shower until I'm 33 weeks and my second shower I'll be 36 weeks, but with the holidays, having a shower earlier is totally normal.
  
  Take your doctor's word over baby shower guests. About 90% of the comments people give me I have to ignore because people are great at giving terrible advice and compliments to pregnant women.

  I'm almost measuring small but due to my very small frame people seem to think my belly is huge! OB and midwife say I've actually got great muscle tone and I'm holding my baby in really tight. It's all perception. :-)

  Listen...Everyone carries differently...you dont have to gain weight thats not there...i have seen women have babies 9 and 10 pounds, and i was looking like, where did she hide that baby at...i saw a clip on youtube with a lady that had a baby at 9 pounds, and i was looking at her like,,,,she is so tiny, let me flip through her videos to see how big the baby is, and was shocked...your baby could just be positioned differently....Goodluck!!!

  Everyone says I look small and I've only gained the weight in my belly but I feel huge so I don't know what they're talking about.

  I have only had one person ask when my baby is due, I am 33w3d. I have good muscle tone, baby is a good size, just nice and tight in there haha.

  I'm carrying small, and I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow (in my 3rd trimester). I have yet to have anyone ask me if I'm expecting a baby (although my family knows I am). I think they just picture me as looking a bit bloated! But I know I can feel someone squirming and kicking around in there.
  
  Every woman is different, depending on her shape, size, etc. Don't worry about it. As long as baby is measuring where it should be at every appointment, you're fine.
